Sponsoring a U.T. Cycling Club

This is a further update for this entry - A letter about the Fundraising event:

RE: Lone Star Chapter Multiple Sclerosis Society Fund-Raising/Sponsorship Team

Dear Potential Sponsors:

We would like your financial support.

For the past four years, the Wheels of Love Cycling and Adventure Team has participated in the MS150 -- a 180-mile bicycle ride from Houston to Austin – raising funds and awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis patients in our region. There are 17,000 of them and each dollar raised, every mile cycled and every pleasant thought sent their way is needed and cherished.
We would appreciate any gifts in kind you could provide us or monetary donations you can make. Donations are tax-deductible through the MS Society’s 501(c)3 and 85% of the funds raised reach MS patients. An example of how the money from patrons like you has helped in the past is this: twenty years ago it took three months to diagnose MS. It now takes three days.

Please consider sponsoring this year’s Wheels of Love. We are engineers, creative thinkers, and public servants. We ride with pride, we have fun, and we take care of our sponsors.

There are both individual and sponsor donations for the MS 150. Any amount is welcome. The fundraising goal of Wheels of Love is $50,000through both sources, and my personal goal is $1000. I have a link on theMS 150 site (http://ms150.org/ms150/donate/donate.cfm?id=182662) where individuals may donate by credit card. Donations on the website are credited to our team total.

Your time and attention are appreciated,
Travis Kaspar

This note is an update to the below journal entry:
Dearest Finnabair informed me that her son Travis' cycling club was doing a fundraising ride for Multiple Sclorosis and he is looking for various people and businesses to sponsor him. Thus if you are interested in sponsoring him as he rides to raise funds for this disease, then please post a comment to this blog and I will forward your post to him for him to contact you. Thank you for helping others.

The Main Posting:
Well, in the Snow and Wild Turkeys post below you'll see my thoughts about helping others. I had just posted that journal entry and checked my email to find this email from dearest Finnabair asking for assistance for her son, Travis, and his need for sponsors for a University of Texas Cycling Club. I have printed the actual email message below, however, if any of you would like to help sponsor the cycling club, please post a note on this Blog and I'll get the message and forward it to dearest Finnabair.

"Sebastian,
My older son, Travis, has re-joined one of the U.T. Cycling clubs. They need sponsors, and he wanted to know if Genuine Joe's would be interested. Can you put in a word for him and the club?

Thanks,
Finn
