Last week the decision was made to announce the official closure of St.Troy Consulting and retirement. The response to the announcement was kind, caring and affectionate because most who have worked with St.Troy Consulting are concerned about the reason for the retirement, mainly health. There are a few that will continue to receive some consulting services only because it might be difficult to live on retirement income.
now the question is what to do with so much free time. Volunteer, learn things, or just learn to relax. There is interest in learning T'ai Chi and information gathering has begun. There is also interest in volunteering with animals. One organization, German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas, has already shown interest and a volunteer. The other organizations are the SPCA and other rescue centers. Thus the process begins to allow time with animals. There is also the fact that learning to spend time with oneself is a task that most don't want to deal with, so learning to just enjoy being is important.
Retirement for many means giving up some of the things from before, but here it is about finding a way in life that leads to peace and joy.
