Santo Tomas Hotel is one of the nicest places I've visited. It was the drop-off and pick-up point for our shuttle service. You could tell this was a place for tourists, not backpackers, but it was nice to walk around in here and enjoy the sites, especially the many macaws. I've learned to expect to pay for such nice things as public toilets, so here expect to pay $5 Quetzales just to use the rest room.
